We are also going to be holding raffles for various items, such as saari’s and paintings to an iPad, from which all proceeds will be sent to the flood victims. Pakistan Flood Emergency Appeal Heavy monsoon rains have triggered the worst floods in Pakistan in living memory, killing more than 1,600 people. Across the country over 14 million people have been affected, with hundreds of thousands displaced from their homes. Flash floods have caused catastrophic landslides, burying entire villages, and submerging areas across all four provinces. Rivers swollen by torrential rains have burst their banks unleashing widespread devastation, destroying houses, bridges, schools, roads and railway tracks. Humanitarian aid is urgently needed to help prevent more deaths from these catastrophic floods. PAGB members have organized the Pak Flood Relief Group (PFRG) to coordinate the flood relief efforts in Boston. The PFRG is accepting monetary and non-monetary donations. Donations for all types of gently worn clothes for children, women and men. Blankets and medicine and also welcome. Please ensure clothes are clean when you are donating them.
